This week went pretty well for me except I forgot my camera cable (or card reader) to pull the pics I took off my camera so I could do a bit more work while I was actually there. My contract is writing process instructions so I was taking lots of pics to show with the steps the operators will perform.

Merrie called me Tues morning - Sydney had lice, another first for our family. She had to stay home with him and wash everything. At least that was one way to get him to cut his hair! Now if only we could convince Stephan of that.... So this week was more stressful on Merrie than it should have been with me gone, but she handled it well. Raisin hasn't been too rough on her, but I don't think she'll ever be comfortable. I think she said she achieved that once so far. We are 22 weeks now.

They have hired someone for her job that starts May 22 or so. Merrie will orient her for a month at least and then may quit then. I'd prefer she stay as long as possible (unless I get this DADC job) in some type of capacity (even part-time) to build up as big a cushion as possible. At least she can see the light at the end of the tunnel better now.

I should hear something more from DADC in a week or two. I want to get this uncertainty over with! I've been holding up several things until I know what my situation is.

This week we get to finish cleaning out our house for the church garage sale (or Ebay). We will have LOTS of items. I think we had done pretty well the past couple years about not having too much "stuff" around our house, but I've gotten much more discerning after my Katrina relief work.

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted. Needless to say, I've been pretty busy with the contracting work I've been doing. Merrie has been able to feel Raisin (now named Samuel or Seth) since the last couple days of March. I still haven't been able to feel him on the outside. She's been sick the last few days so pray she gets over that quickly.

The boys are doing well. Stephan has been spending more time at home to help his schoolwork. Sydney has become nearly inseparable with a boy that moved in directly behind us 2 weeks ago. He goes to a different school but they spend normally 5 hours together after school until we make Sydney eat and do his homework.

I'll be busy the rest of the month, too, it seems. I'm off to Cleveland for a week for a contract and then cleaning out our house for the church garage sale and finishing my current development projects and then back in Lafayette the week after that to install and debug them. I should know more about the job at DADC then, too.

Have a joyful Easter!
