Stephan did get his license and Sydney made it to Disney and back. Both are looking forward to school starting Wednesday. Stephan and I also went to King's Island a week ago just to have some fun together.

The biggest news is Samuel became a year old today.


This was actually the second cake he had to devour as we celebrated at Merrie's parents last Saturday for both Stephan and Samuel.

I finally got a decent picture of him sleeping like I used to as a baby.


Looks pretty comfortable, huh? He's not walking yet, but stands unsupported more often and picked up how to go down stairs after one try. There's still only 2 teeth and he weighs about 18 pounds which we'll confirm tomorrow at his checkup. He still needs work on recognizing what "NO" means - jail time doesn't seem to be getting that to sink in yet. We're quickly running out of "out of reach" room. I guess we're going to have to use the attic and basement more.
