Merrie chastised me for not updating in over a month. Gack! Despite all the time we've put into finding a new house, no luck yet. I'm sort of letting it slide for now and not obsessing over it. Sort of like when you're trying to get pregnant and it happens after you stop trying. And, no, we aren't. I figure God will guide us to the right house when it's the right time.

Samuel is over 11 months now, creeping up on the big 1 year birthday. It works out to be a Sunday this year so we can have a nice party for him. He's becoming more daring and dangerous for himself. He's pretty good at getting off the sofa, bed, etc. but sometimes he must not get lined up very well and goes "thud". He'll climb over things at chest height and whap his face or head on the floor on the other side. He finally got some marks on his face from pulling one of the dining room chairs onto himself. For the most part these mishaps haven't phased him, and he still has both his teeth. He thinks he's pretty hot stuff standing on his own until he realizes what he's doing. He stood up a couple times on the coffee table for 15 seconds while we were watching a movie 2 weeks ago.

He didn't grab my foot until he turned around to ham it up.

Merrie and the boys went to Maryland the 12th-16th for a family reunion on her mom's side. They also hit some sites in DC while there, including the zoo the day they arrived. I suspect our boys fit in quite well there.

I understand they had a good time overall even though there weren't many kids their age at the reunion. They went to The Mall and the Air & Space Museum the following day.

You can see how long it's been since we had been there last time from this picture.

They all came back home safely to me. I didn't even goof off while they were gone. I made 4 more picnic tables for Sydney's school and had some other projects, too.

Stephan takes his driving test Tuesday. Sydney leaves for Disney early Thursday. That's all I can think of for now.
