By May 28, Samuel was OK with grass. Here he's shown with one of his trademark fish faces.

Some wonder what is wrong with teenagers today, but Stephan seems perfectly normal to us.

His hair is now somewhat red.

Sam climbed the stairs for the first time on June 6. Of course, I had my mischievous little hand in that and provided the necessary incentive (look at each step).

House hunting has caused us to actually clean our house (only a little so far) and get rid of even more stuff - our van was stuffed with things to "pitch". We participated in Union Hospital's yard sale and made over $200. Even so we still had quite a bit left, much of it we freecycled before taking the rest to Goodwill.

I've done a bit of yard work the past week or so that I should have done long ago. Don't you just hate that? You decide to move and fix things up the way you wanted them but you don't get to enjoy the fruits of your labor very long. We now have a couple more mulch beds which will make mowing much easier on me now. I'm determined to fix our next house up the way we want it ASAP so we CAN enjoy the fruits of our labor.

We're getting closer to a decision in that matter. Right now there are 3 houses in the running and we'll be going through them with my folks on Thursday and hopefully put in an offer by Monday.

Samuel got his first taste of swimming on Father's Day and had mixed feelings about the matter. I think perhaps it was a bit chilly for him despite all the hot weather we've been having, but he did let out a few squeaky laughs.

We can now see the bud of what will be his second tooth so it should pop through any day now.

Merrie and the boys are doing VBS in various capacities this week, kicking off what appears will be a very busy and likely tiring summer. Sydney does basketball camp next week, then Webelos camp. Merrie and the boys will be going to Maryland for a few days in July. Stephan and I will hit King's Island sometime before the end of July. Sydney will be going to Disney World the end of July. And before you know it, school will be back Aug 15. Let alone all the house buying and fixing that should take place. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it!
