Samuel is not fond of grass. While Sydney ate it right up (literally) as soon as we put him down in it at just under 8 months, Sam cries. He's gotten better in the last few weeks if he's just standing in it but still cries if you set him down. He does like swinging though.

We celebrated 12 years of bliss by looking all over the county for a potential new home and trying out Cheeseburger in Paradise for the first time. It was pretty good.

We also dedicated Sam.

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord." (1 Sam 1:27-28)

Samuel turned 9 months today on his paternal grandmother's birthday.

Still no teeth but cute as a button. You can see the family resemblance by checking out Sydney's page, which I haven't updated since he was 3! Poor kid.

Work has been fairly busy which wasn't expected so that's good. It will keep me from gutting our house though. However, we are considering just moving to a different one. We've seen one and have at least 3 others to check out. We'll see what pops up in the next couple months. I'd like to either be moved before school starts again in mid-August or decide we're staying here so I can get at least some major projects done this summer. We pray that we're following God on this.

We'd recommend reading 'I Promise' by Gary Smalley if you're married or will be. It submits the greatest thing required for marriage to succeed is security. No amount of communication or relationship skills will help if both partners don't feel secure. We've been enjoying it this past week.

Happy Mother's Day!
